This school had been commissioned by the Mar Gregorios Orthodox community Of New Delhi, located in the new town of Dwarka which is a fast-growing part of Delhi. This school is now referred to as a landmark, and has been extensively cited in various architectural publications.
The school takes its inspiration from the renowned architect Louis Kahn and his use of bold forms for openings. These are what define this building and truly make it iconic. They also complement the semicircular windows.
The singly loaded corridor that are flanked by the circular opening and face the central court, make for a great vista and allow for a beautiful play of light.
